Where will your special day be and who will be celebrating with you?

 

Your day may include just your dearest friends and family or many hundreds of people. It may be brief or over a couple of days.

It could be in the wild, on a beach, on a hillside or a farm, in your home or in a barn, the venues are limitless!

What you include as part of your ceremony is only constrained by your imagination…what a bout a handfasting, a rose ceremony, a unity ceremony, a ring warming?

These are all options Celebrant Rachel will discuss with you to ensure that your day is just the way you want it. 

 

The heart of your celebration

 

Your marriage service or ceremony is at the centre of your wedding day. This is where you make your promises to the person you love, where you truly celebrate the journey you have already been on and commit to a future together.

Celebrant Rachel will focus on this area of your day, however sometimes we all need an extra hand and Rachel will always be around for a chat, someone to bounce ideas off or just to listen as you plan your big day. 

 Celebrant Rachel comes with experience of planning and advising on weddings and so will be able to support you as you find your way through the potential maze of wedding preparations and developing your own concept.

The start of your married life will be as individual as you.

What Next?

 

It would be fabulous to be able to meet at least once to discuss your thoughts and ideas. 

Closer to the day you will receive a proposed script for your day and you will have the opportunity to make as many changes as you wish until you are completely happy with your unique and special day.

N.B.

Currently in England, SCOTLAND  and Wales, only registrars and designated religious clergy and officiants can legally complete the paperwork for marriage documents.

This means that (for the time being) this part remains separate to your wedding celebration ceremony. You can arrange to visit the register office to formalise the paperwork at a time convenient to you – which may be on the morning of your wedding or a day or two before.

It is suggested you don’t exchange rings before the registrar.

There is no need to show me any documentation in order to conduct your wedding celebration; it is entirely up to you when you hold your legal marriage. However please feel free to discuss this with me when we meet.

In the preparation and leading up to the big day, all of your extra work became apparent to us as you independently liaised with and visited our venue and photographer to help coordinate the ceremony.

You were also wonderfully flexible and patient during the drafting and re-drafting and re-drafting of the ceremony script! All of these extra lengths did not go unnoticed and we are so grateful to you for all of your hard work. 

 

So comforting to know we were in the hands of such a professional person who really knew what she was doing

 

 

From the very beginning and right through to after our ceremony, you went above and beyond to help us create a wedding that we will never forget. Your personal, holistic and professional approach was clear to us from our first meeting at our house.

We don’t know how we would have done it without you. You gently and thoughtfully managed to help us realise/visualise our perfect day, advising on the structure and content of our ceremony and the practicalities of having an open-air wedding

My fee will include all travel, meetings, visits to venues, research, changes and mini ceremonies.

There will be no extra costs.

With all the hidden extras that can creep in around weddings Celebrant Rachel has one flat fee to make it easier for all of us.

To plan, prepare and deliver a bespoke marriage ceremony for you…so what does that mean?
We will meet at a suitable location and time for us to get to know each other and you to decide if we are the ‘right fit’.
We will talk about your dreams, ideas, thoughts so that your ceremony will perfectly reflect you.
This is a free service. 
If you decide Celebrant Rachel can help you achieve the day of your dreams you will receive an invoice for a deposit to hold the date.
You will then be sent an outline of the plans we have discussed.
About a month prior to your ceremony I will send you a complete script, at about this point there will also be an invoice for the remainder of my fee. On the day of your wedding you will be my focus of attention, there will be no other events I will have to dash off for….this is your day and it is my job to ensure you have the ceremony of which you dream.
